জন্ম ভারতে

যে মাটিতে জন্মেছি, তার নাম ভারতবর্ষ,

জন্মাতাম যদি অন্য দেশের

 নাগরিত্ব নিয়ে অন্য নাম,

তবু রক্তে ঘুরে বেড়াতো এই মাটির প্রাণ, 

সে প্রাণ বুঝিয়ে দিত  

  আমার জ্ঞান, আর আদর্শ, 

এই রকম একটা ঘটনার নামও ভারতবর্ষ। 

ভারতবর্ষ মানে অনন্ত সময়ের পরিব্রাজন,

প্রাণ-সত্য সেখানে নিরলস পথিক নির্জন, 

ভোরের আকাশকে যে বলে --- 

 সূর্য, তুমি আমাকে সাজাও, 

সুদূরের জ্যোৎস্নাকে যে বলে --- 

  অসীমতাকে তুমি জাগাও, 

আবার অমাবস্যাকে যে বলে ---

    সৃষ্টির আদি সত্যের নিশ্চুপ সহর্ষ, 

এই রকম একটা ঘটনার নামও ভারতবর্ষ। 

ভারতবর্ষ মানে সময় আর

  প্রজ্ঞার মিলিত সংলাপ, 

ভারতবর্ষ মানে ঋষিদের ধ্যান, 

  গভীর অরন্যের পর্ণকুটিরে

   কিংবা গভীর গুহায় স্থির ধ্যানস্থ শ্বাস উত্তাপ। 

ভারতবর্ষ মানে দেশ, মাটি, সংস্কৃতি পেরিয়ে

    জীবনের জয়, 

যে বলে, আমি অন্যায়কে রুখতে পাইনাকো ভয়। 

যে বলে -- জীবনের আরেক নাম ত্যাগ, সুক্ষ্ম বুদ্ধি, নির্লোভতা

      আর রচনা করো গ্রন্থ,

যে বলে -- মানব জীবন মানে

      অনুভূতির দূর দিগন্ত। 

আর মৃত্যু মানে, জ্ঞানের আলোক সাম্রাজ্য নিয়ে

       হেঁটে যাওয়া নীরব পরিব্রাজক, 

কত ইতিহাস, কত মুগ্ধতা আর চিন্তার পথ ||

BORN IN INDIA

The land where I took birth, is India.  

If I was born in any other country 

   with different citizenship and name, 

Still in blood, I could feel the life of this land.

The life would make everyone aware 

    of my wisdom and roots,

 

Like this, an incident too, is called India. 

India means the traveler for an infinite  times 

Life is only truth there, 

along with the seeker's dignity, 

who says to the sun,

to dress him, 

who says to the moonlight at the horizons,

to awake the immensity,

And again, who says to the new moon sky, 

the gay of an silent truth of the ancient creation, 

Like this, an incident too, is called India.

India means time and 

coming together of consciousness,  

India means the meditations of the hermits 

 inside of a deep forest ancient hut

  or inside the deep cave, 

the warmth of the still meditating  figure...

India means nation, land,  

winning of life over culture, 

who says, I don't fear to stand against the injustice 

Who says an another name of life is sacrifice,  

 deep sagacity, without greediness 

and composition of books,

Who says, human life is the emotions spreading over, 

to the great horizons. 

And death means, 

the walking away of a silent traveler

   with a bright empire of wisdom, 

So many histories, so many admires

  and a way of thought towards heavens.

N.B: The poet of "Born in India" Ridendick Mitro, West Bengal, India, is professionally a poet, novelist, lyricist, columnist in Bengali, English and Spanish. Also a scientist, social Reformer and World Peace Activist. But he writes fundamentally, not translation, so Debadrita Sarkar translated it. 

Debadrita Sarkar is a poet and author in Bengali, English and Hindi and translatar. Also she is the editors of printed and Internet magazines and compiler of Anthologies published from many states. Ridendick is satisfied with her work in this kind. In Debadrita's international anthology "MOTHER INDIA" from JEC Publication , Ridendick Mitro's English poem 'Mother India' is accepted. But, this Bengali Poem like "Jonmo Bharate" i,e "BORN IN INDIA" Is written especially with seperate feelings and philosophy as well. So, poem "Mother India'  and poem 'Born in India' are not same taste and state of writing. It details here to the readers and critics.

who is an author, bilingual writer, poet, compiler, Blogger, Record Holder, Magazine editor and also interested in doing translations and illustrations. 

She is the editor and founder of the magazine. She has compiled " History Is The Best Mystery " ( 2022) under Deepmisti Publication at the age of 14 and compiled " The Little Thoughts Of My Heart " ( 2026) at the age of 17 and currently compiling " Mother India " anthology under JEC Publication. 

 She has written and self published many chapbooks - " Nature And Life ", " Metamorphosis Through Living", " Loved, But Undone" and " Short Poems For Everyday Life", which are distributed by Bookrix (2025). She is also the author of two series - " Selected Poems Of Solitary Thoughts " (2025) and " Quote Book Series" (2025). She has also illustrated and written " Seasons" (2025 ) and " Just Write Down!" ( republished 2026). 

In February 2026, she has hybrid published her debut Poetry book " A Poetic Heart : Poems On Self Compassion " under Writer's Pocket. She is now working on an another poetry book.
