INTERVIEWING DR. RICHA BISWAL (BY DEBADRITA SARKAR)
Debadrita:
When have you started writting ?
Richa: I have been writing since my childhood. From a very young age, I felt drawn towards expressing my thoughts and emotions through words.
Denadrita: What is your genre and why ?
Richa: I write in all genres, including poetry, short stories, and articles, but I especially prefer writing poetry. Poetry allows me to express emotions, ideas, and inner experiences in a more intense, symbolic, and artistic way.
Debadrita: What inspired you to write the poem ?
Richa: This poem was inspired by my deep reflections on life, emotions, and unspoken feelings. I believe poetry emerges from within—it is a response to what we observe, experience, and feel deeply. Sometimes, even silence and unanswered questions become powerful sources of inspiration.
Debadrita: What is the hardest part when write this poem ?
Richa: The hardest part of writing this poem was finding the exact words to convey complex emotions with clarity and depth. Balancing simplicity with meaning, and ensuring that the emotions reach the reader as intended, was quite challenging.
Debadrita: What are your advices to the young writers ?
Richa: My advice to young writers is to write honestly and fearlessly. Do not worry too much about perfection—focus on expressing your true thoughts. Read widely, observe deeply, and most importantly, keep writing consistently. Your voice will evolve with time.
Debadrita: Who is your favourite writer and what is your favourite story of poem or short story or novel?
Richa: I admire many writers across traditions. Among them, Rabindranath Tagore is one of my favourites, and his work Gitanjali holds a special place in my heart. I am also deeply influenced by both Indian and Western literary traditions.
Debadrita: What is your hobby ?
Richa: My hobbies include reading literature, writing poetry, and exploring philosophical and aesthetic ideas. I also enjoy listening to meaningful music and engaging in academic discussions.
Debadrita : Where are you born and where are your raised ?
Richa: I was born in Prayagraj, and I was also raised there. The cultural and intellectual environment of the city has deeply influenced my personality and writing.
Debadrita : What do you do except writting ?
Richa : Apart from writing, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of English. I am actively engaged in teaching, research, and academic writing.
Debadrita : Any comments !
Richa : This initiative provides a meaningful platform for writers to express themselves and share their voices with a wider audience. It encourages creativity and brings together diverse perspectives. I truly appreciate the effort put into promoting literature and emerging writers.
